  6. Concrete is a very good option.. Their are truly endless options for coloring, textures, tile patterns, stamping etc.. As a flooring installer myself, this is something we have been looking at for quite some time.. I expect it to only grow in popularity.. The simplicity and durability can't be beat..

  9. Concrete can be dull as flooring material but its is sturdy and doesn't chip easily. Definitely, a smart choice for flooring.

  11. This is such a great post! I loved that it listed both the pro's and the cons of having a concrete floor. My husband and I are in the middle of building a home right now, and we are trying to decide if we want tile, cement, or wooden floors. There are pros and cons to both, and we like them all. We are just considering all the options that we have. The biggest concern that we have is that we have a couple of young kids, and I don't think that concrete floors would be very great for them to play on. The upside however, is that there will never be any dings in the floor!

  12. For most of my childhood my entire basement was all concrete flooring. I loved it because we could draw chalk on it, had a massive play room that allowed us to play with our army guys, and it looked cool. It is nice to have carpet down there now, but I do miss the concrete floor days.

  13. I got some new flooring installed in my home just last week. It looks amazing and watching the whole process was really something. I thought that it was the coolest thing ever to watch them do their work. It was just something that I have never seen done before.

  14. I don't think I'm sold on concrete flooring. Even if it's heated it would just seem too cold to me. I think I'll stick with wood.

  16. I have heard good things about concrete flooring. I just don't know if it is for me. It is something I have definitely considered before though. I think that I will stick with getting wood floors.

  19. I have decided to go with tile flooring. The one thing that I can't decide is whether a child would hurt himself more falling on wood, tile or concrete. I am assuming that these are all smooth.
